IMAGINE DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY AND CINEMATOGRAPHY THAT CAPTIVATES!

Hi! I'm Erle Craven.... For more than forty years, I've been lucky enough to do what I love—telling stories with a camera. I started behind a traditional film camera in commercial photography and videography and spent time teaching photography at two universities. These days I've traded the ladder for a drone (it's a lot safer), creating fine art aerial photography, cinematic videography, and ultra-high-resolution panoramic artwork through DroneTogs.

 

What is fine art drone photography? Every city has a couple of competent drone photographers. For $150-300, they will come and photograph your Real Estate or anything you need to capture and probably deliver your images the next day; it’s a great commodity product.

 

My drone photography and cinematography are a completely different product; they're ART and without AI. Creating your image can take up to two weeks or more. The steps are very similar to commissioning fine art studio work. 1. Composition: How will the shot be composed? What is the feel you want to accomplish? I accomplish this using classical techniques like the rule of thirds, leading lines, and negative space. 2. Lighting and Background: Are you interested in sunrise or sunset, night or twilight? What cloud cover do you desire? This process can take days or weeks to get the lighting, background, and cloud conditions perfect. 3. Post-production: I have over 30 years of experience using the most powerful editing tools and hardware. We use the most advanced color calibration systems/hardware, so your output is advertising-agency quality and can be printed as large museum-quality prints. Whether I'm capturing the beautiful light of sunset across a stunning landscape, the moving rhythm of a downtown, or the perfect angle of your business, I chase that image that makes people stop and say, "Wow...I never saw it that way." I believe great aerial imagery should do more than show what's below—it should make people feel something.
